Dietitian/Nutritionist, Health and Fitness Coach.

ANITA GATHOGO

Everyone’s relationship with food should be loving and enjoyable and no one should ever feel deprived because they are trying to improve their health.  My focus is to find the root cause of symptoms, remove the triggers, restore gut health and help repair damaged systems through targeted nutrition therapy and lifestyle changes.  I use a food first approach – eliminate the food causing the problems and add foods that will bring back balance.

My post high school education began at Morgan State University with a BSc in Food and Nutrition, Dietetic Internship @ Howard University and eventually earning a MS in Human Nutrition from  University of Bridgeport.

My journey with food began when I was a little girl and looking back no surprise that I am so intricately involved with food. I was cooking and baking meals for my family at less than 10 years old.  I have a small garden where I attempt to grow various kitchen garden foods.  I am most proud of the sunflowers I had a few years.

Most if not All diseases have some connection with food; the good news is that you can use food to reverse and or improve symptoms that lower your quality of life. The journey of healing with food begins by finding your path to wellness, staying the course and enjoying the journey. I will not claim to know everything (who does); but I know enough to get you back on your feet living your best life.

I don’t know what your struggle is right now, but I know that you can resolve your struggle by being mindful about what you eat and drink; healing your gut will go a long way into restoring your health. Thank you and come with me on this journey to health and wellness for you and your family!
